Sandie Popandie

I had such a fun time shooting with the lovely Sandie. As well as the photo-taking, we spent the afternoon walking, conversing, and laughing… And how her face lights up when she laughs. She carries so much contentment, peace and joy. I am reminded of the scripture in Proverbs 31:25 “She is clothed with strength & dignity, she can laugh at the days to come.”

I love the unconditional exchange of beauty for ashes, strength for weakness, and dignity where we once carried feelings of worthlessness. It is such freedom to be able to look at a future with complete assurance and hope.

If you look closely you will see her face tells a story.  If you could read it, it would tell an epic tale of love and restitution, a journey through the rough terrain of life & self acceptance and finally, an encounter with redeeming love that swoops in and restores the beauty of this story.
